Osho Therapy
Training

10 Part Training
October 2018 - June 2020

Osho Therapy Training

The Osho Therapy Training connects personal growth with therapy and meditation.  It combines different approaches to Western psychology with a variety of Eastern meditation techniques, to enable the participants to gain more understanding, compassion and awareness for themselves and others.  It is for people who want to live their potential, get to know themselves more deeply and become more resourceful in working with people.

Learning through experiencing

The different sections of the training include the latest techniques in experiential therapy including somatic work, essence work, family constellation and body work.  It leads the participants on a journey of self-exploration, starting with opening the body to life energy, using bio-energetic techniques, then moving to clearing psychological issues from childhood, sexuality and adult life.  The daily meditations support the process and can be integrated into your everyday life.

For living your potential & working with people

You will learn to put yourself first in your own life, trust your intuition and become more creative.  You will find yourself more mature in relating with your love partner, your family, your friends and your work colleagues.  It will enable you to use the deepened awareness you gain, to work with people in a more respectful and loving way, understanding that you can only work on another as deeply as you have known yourself.

The Group - growing together

Picture
An important aspect of the Osho Therapy Training is for the participants to go through this long growth and learning process with others who have made the same commitment.  By being in a group together, pretensions will drop and you will become capable of being truly honest.  You will meet 'many mirrors' for your projections in each other and find that unexpected love and support will flow back to you as you open up.

The course is spread over bi-monthly intervals to allow time to absorb this intense therapeutic work.  This allows the transformation to continue in the intervals between the sections, as you integrate the new findings into your everyday life.

Part 1:  Natural Breathing - Freedom from Trauma, with Dwari

In the first part of this training, you will experience your own breathing process as well as learning to use the basic steps in breath work and trauma solutions.  Breathing is the most vital force in life, and when it can flow freely and spontaneously through the body you feel healthy, alive and directly connected to your inner strength.  You can express yourself emotionally and are able to be sensitively touched in human relating.  In shock or trauma you hold your breath and stop the natural movement impulse of the body to fight or to escape.  Instead, this vital movement energy is frozen into fear and helplessness, or in order to avoid the feeling of panic and pain you may even disconnect from your body.

Any kind of abuse in childhood or even the rejection of your elementary need for love and emotional safety as a child, not supporting the natural growing process has traumatic effects, as well as accidents or operations at any time in life.  When you live with unsolved traumas, your life energy is limited.  Breathing is a wonderful tool to move into the frozen trauma energy and support the body to release and let go.  You will learn to use resourcing and moving with the felt sense, as well as different ways of breathing to enter the self-regulation healing system of the body.  This way, you will release old traumas and integrate the natural life force with any frozen emotions back into pleasure and adventurous joy, finding new responses to the challenges of life.

Picture
The issues covered include:
  • Natural Breathing the connection to life.
  • Different life situations – different breathing patterns.
  • What happens in trauma and shock.
  • Trauma split in the body and soul.
  • Developmental Trauma and shock trauma.
  • Resourcing and stabilizing.
  • Trauma energy, survival energy and healthy energy behavior.
  • How one can support in a session and take care of oneself.
  • Difference between technique and presence.

Part 2:  Pulsation, with Aneesha

To be vibrant, alive, breathing, moving and feeling is your birthright and nature.  Pulsation is derived from Neo-Reichian emotional release work, using breath, bio-energy, and expression to contact and clear physical, emotional and psychological patterns of tension from early life conditioning.  Once this biophysical clearing has taken root, you will move more deeply into silence, relaxation and a joyful celebration of the life that moves within you.

Part 3:  Body Energy & Body Types, with Moumina

In this section you will continue to work on opening the body energy, bringing in an understanding of how your body structure gets formed through childhood experience, and how your energy flow gets affected.  Your basic map will be the Neo-Reichian Bodytypes.  Different techniques will be taught on how to “read” these emotional patterns as they express themselves in your bodies.  By becoming more perceptive and sensitive to the body you are laying the foundation for your transformation process, and gaining basic tools for working with other people.

Part 4:  Early Life Issues - A Primal Group, with Tarika & Anam

During this group, you will focus on bringing your present problems, difficulties and misunderstandings back to the source of the wounds which keep you stuck.  These unhealed wounds can deeply damage how you feel about yourself.  If left in the dark they can become a barrier to any intimacy and success in your life.  The first step towards finally letting go of these wounds is to acknowledge to yourself and others that you have been hurt.  To be able to embrace this wounded child inside with love no matter what you have been told about yourself.  In an atmosphere of safety and responsible love you will go back into your childhood and unravel painful memories.  In this setting you will spend time as a child feeling the support and understanding that you always wanted and still long for.  In the light of compassion, these painful experiences become the seeds of self-worth, the space to relax inside and the opening to meditation.

Part 5:  The Roots of Love - Osho Family Constellation, with Svagito

Picture
In this section you will learn about family conditioning and in what way your behaviour, feelings and attitudes are to be understood through the collective energy field of your extended family.   You will learn to recognize how personal and collective traumas can still have a deep effect and what serves healing.

All the basic theoretical and practical principles of systemic work will be transmitted.   The focus will be on the parent-child relationship (family of origin) and the man-woman relationship (present family) and what healthy relating means in each context.  You learn how to recognize the hidden dynamics in a family system and come to understand who is identified with whom, who has been and still is excluded or who wants to disconnect from the family matrix.  This exploration will include the latest insights of constellation work as you support healing movements in your soul.  Each participant will be able to put up their own constellation and will learn through watching and taking part in each other’s constellations.  This approach to Family Constellation is based in meditation.  It is rooted in a deep acceptance of how things are, rather than in any effort for improvement.

Part 6:  Conscious Relating, with Talib & Shubhaa

Experiencing a meaningful, accepting and loving connection with your sexuality is one of the essential keys for personal and spiritual growth.  As you grow in emotional maturity, you begin to long for a deeper state of presence within yourself, with your partners and relationships.  This quality of presence can develop by purifying and healing the wounds of conditionings, rejection, shame, traumas and misconceptions that block your sensual, confident and passionate energies.

When you move closer into intimacy, it is natural that your emotional wounds come up and what hasn’t been integrated yet in your system comes to the surface to heal.  The wounds of humiliation, inadequacy (that something is wrong with me, or I should be different then I am…) or layers of shock that create sexual and emotional dysfunction in men and women, come to the surface.  Many times, you create difficulties and challenges within intimate relationships, such as insecurities in setting healthy boundaries, loosing yourself in dissociation, indifference, pleasing, or neediness, without understanding what is really going on.  The good news is everyone is inherently hardwired to heal – we all have an innate ability to overcome the effects of trauma and unleash the core aliveness we all possess.

When the vital energy flows towards the heart, a bridge of awareness is created that can open qualities such as safety, tenderness and nourishment.  Accessing your sexual intelligence is a path of love, a returning to your very nature.  You will explore the healing capacity of your bodies’ nervous system to build intimacy in your life, learning how you can create a foundation for awareness and understanding to blossom within your sexuality.

This process is a bridge between therapy and meditation and supports a healing of the heart and the sensuousness that filters through the body – moving from a state of separation to union with your feelings, emotions and physical presence.  Together we create a safe and loving environment to experiment with new understandings and tools, individually and within the group, opening up our natural joy, aliveness and spontaneity.

Part 7:  Counselling 1 - The Therapist as Friend, with Nishant

As you mature as an individual and as therapist, you become naturally attracted to the deeper issues in yourself and others.  You simply want to be ourselves, and help others to find the same.  This section will teach counselling skills based on meditation, following an understanding that the depth and compassion with which you relate with yourself is what you have to offer to your clients. The first part focuses on the art of befriending yourself, developing an ability to go deep into yourself and emerge fresh and nourished, no matter what you find inside.

The second part of the week focuses on teaching counselling skills which will give you tools to extend this sense of inner friendship to others.  You will learn to create an atmosphere where others feel comfortable getting to know themselves more deeply, accurately and compassionately. These skills will include inner journey work, focusing therapy and inquiry. All these techniques can be doorways for journeying through the complex world of neurosis and confusion, and discovering the fundamental goodness of who you are.

Part 8:  Satori - Awareness Intensive, with Ganga

Picture
During this section you will use the simple yet powerful structure of the Awareness Intensive to move inwards with the help of the koans ”Who is in?” and ”Who am I?” It is a journey through layers of identification with personality and conditioning to a direct experience of who you truly are: consciousness, love, being.  The ancient Zen technique of facing the wall in silence is combined with the modern technique of structured communication facing a partner.  By opening yourself in the presence of another person, you  support the  incentive for the inquiry into who you truly are.

The quest for Who is in? and Who am I? is as old as humanity.  These questions are the core questions of every human being – no matter if man or woman, young or old, stupid or clever, seeker or businessman and are the two key questions that form the base of the Satori.  All other questions used in the Awareness Intensive Retreat are aspects of these 2 master key questions – such as: What is life, love, freedom, consciousness, another, sexuality, truth, relaxation? – to name a few.  No intellectual answer will help.  You need to go into these questions and experience them directly.  Relaxation, trust, love, openness for oneself and others will grow simultaneously with understanding.

As you move inside, the connection to your resources gets strengthened.  You will experience an infinite pool of creativity and Being.  You will gain courage to live life and your potential more fully.  Apart from the obvious benefits of being in the moment, there are many others hidden in this process such as:

  • Learning to listen.
  • Learning to see and feel yourself and others.
  • Experiencing the uniqueness and the ways of Being and learn to give space to yourself and others.
  • Getting to know and speak your truth independently of the image you carry.
  • Experiencing relaxation and joy which manifest as you connect with yourself.

Part 9:  Counselling 2 - Inner Man, Inner Woman, with Praphulla

Man and Woman are different – and that is of course a blessing.  But the contrast between their two natures can also be a source of problems in relationship, not only with your outer partner, but also between the masculine and feminine polarities inside yourself.  This course will bring your two sides clearly into view, so that you get to know them better than before. You will be finding out what holds significance and meaning for each of them.

In learning to set up a dialogue between the male and female parts of your client, it is possible to observe their relationship: Often one side is taking the dominant position – more space, more responsibility for job and other life choices – while the second is afraid of being alone and therefore contributing to the first’s activities and having no priorities of its own.  Usually we imagine that to balance our polarities, both need to compromise. This training will show you the opposite: Each side needs to be true to its own nature, following its own flow of energy, then love is happening between them based on space and freedom.

When you learn to embrace and to value your inner man and woman in their uniqueness, it also affects the outer relationship immediately.  There is a new potential for respect, acceptance and love.  This section includes guided meditations, Gestalt practice, male-female dialogues and session supervision.

Part 10:  The Art of Dying, with Ramateertha

Death throws us back to the existential questions, which are forgotten in the routine of daily life:  do I really live the life I would like to, or do I follow the ideas and wishes of others?  What does my life look like when I authentically live what is in me?  What would I, in the face of death, regret to have missed or not to have done?  To really pause and ask yourself these questions is the essential aspect of the final part of this training, moving beyond therapy, to engage yourself in the search for truth.  To find and live this truth, turns your life into a dance.  Maybe you will die a“thousand deaths“, but this dance will give you wings and the certainty to be really alive.

In this intensive process, death will be used as a tool to look at your halfheartedness, your tendency to postpone things in life, to avoid confrontations and to protect your vulnerability.  What makes us afraid of death is the fact that we didn’t live totally.  What hurts, when the time comes to say goodbye, is the love that you held back.  Looking at it from this point of view the engagement with death is a real possibility to wake up, to become new, with eyes that are full of wonder and filled with gratitude.  You will come to recognize that in each moment the past in us dies and we are born into the new, open and with an immediate experience of what life has to offer us.

Testimonials

"The Osho Therapy Training has been life changing for me. I have done different kinds of therapy before, but nothing has gone so deep. To be with the same group of people throughout the process made me able to accept myself. Seeing others exposing themselves helped me to embrace also my own feelings and vulnerability and not to see this as a weakness, but as a strength. Now I can observe my thoughts and feelings without going into them, without judging or identifying with them. And we had great fun together, actually!" - Tina, Norway

“This was beautiful journey to discover the true essence of me and the world.  The therapists were the perfect gardeners of truth and sprouted the seeds for my self-realization and then nourished them.” - Juha, Finland

"The Osho Therapy Training supported my growth into more grounded and relaxed adulthood and helped me to understand myself and others better. I feel my life changed a lot in a positive way and for sure there's more compassion, openness and awareness in my life now. Not to mention the beautiful friendships." - Anu, Finland

“Heartwarming, allowing, accepting, growing with love – the training brought me to a new level of consciousness.  I loved it, everything came at the right moment, even the parts I thought I wasn’t ready for. ” – Malin, Sweden

“I loved it.  It opened a space for me and in me.  I was cracked open and touched very deeply.” - Tina, Sweden
