Reconnect with your BodyMind, relax deeply, and discover the wisdom already within you. This gentle process can help...
Born and raised in Mysore, India, Deepa these days lives in the United States. Each year she returns to Pune to deepen her meditation practice, reconnect with the Osho community, and facilitate Osho Whirling and meditations.
In her early twenties, while searching for an alternative to the pressures and expectations of society, Osho entered Deepa’s life. As she walked down Lane A in Koregaon Park, something in the air felt deeply familiar, as though it were speaking a language she had somehow forgotten. In that moment, she knew she had come home.
Over the past 20 years, Osho’s active meditations, dance, Whirling, and Osho Reminding Yourself of the Forgotten Language of Talking to Your BodyMind have been the practices that have shaped her life most deeply. Dance and Whirling became her way of moving through whatever was present. Learning to listen to the wisdom of the BodyMind has supported her through habits, anger, fear, self-esteem, guilt, and the thousand small storms of ordinary life. Again and again, she has discovered that the wisdom she was seeking was already there, simply waiting for her to ask and listen.
Meditation has gradually led her toward a more embodied, simple, courageous, and loving way of living, beyond society’s ideas of beauty, success, and achievement. Simplicity became less like deprivation and more like freedom. Courage became less like combat and more like honesty. Love became less like an idea and more like a way of inhabiting the body.
Deepa enjoys sharing the practices that have supported her so deeply. With a gentle, soothing presence, she creates a space where people can relax, trust themselves, and reconnect with the wisdom of their own BodyMind. She hopes participants leave feeling more at home within themselves, with a deeper trust in their own inner guidance, and perhaps ready to begin one of life’s most radical relationships: a kinder friendship with themselves.
